When You Hold Me
When you hold me I am
being told by you that
I am loved.
When you hold me
you are saying I am
safe from the bitter cold.
When you hold me I am
assured by you that no
harm will come to me.
When you hold me I
feel so free like a
bird from its cage.
When you hold me
I feel at peace no matter
how chaotic the world is.
