When You Cared

For a minute there I thought you were sincere
The way you touched my skin and held me so near
I was infatuated with you, needing you every moment
I asked God for help and an angel was sent
To lift me up from the sadness I felt
When your hair rubbed my nose I swear it was roses I smelt
It sent me into a dream world filled with features of paradise
Before you came my heart was so cold, my veins like ice
But suddenly things won' t the same, the love started to fade
Falling so deep for you was a mistake and the price was paid
Flying so high made the fall hurt so very much
I find myself reaching out for just one last touch
The pain is unbearable, I want to move on but i'm just so scared
All I can think about daily is when you cared
