When Words Are Not Enough
I want to use exactly the right words
For death is near,
And words are important.
But when I arrive
And see the state of my friend
And how much weight she has lost
I forget all of my words.
And reach for her hand.
Stroking her as gently as I can.
Showing her love
That could never be conveyed
with words.
