When Will War End

There’s no such things as world peace
Never was never will
The air smells like the dead
Towns are more like ghost towns
Nothing on the ground, but rocks and dirt
People in homes stay in the dark too scared to go outside; some wanted to go just to die.
Some men are hungry
Some men are scared
When the battle starts there’s no turning back.
Children will run instead of playing
Children will cry instead of laughing
Many men will laugh while destroying beautiful children even if they are their own kind
Maybe it’s because they are not human.
When its night time no one will sleep in peace
All they hear are bullets, and explosions.
There’s no such things as world peace never was never will
Whenever a war ends there will be another
When will war end?
I don’t know…
Probably never.

A very moving piece. history shows us man can not live in peace. I feel your frustration my friend. your words got to my heart, Only God can bring true everlasting peace, and he soon will, after the biggest war ever seen, and good will overcome evil. after, man will live as one in harmony. Pete.

Hate, racism and greed are the main culprits of war. Before these end there is no hope of wars ending. Thank you for sharing yours thoughts with us, Abdeil. // paul

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God." Your poem is a sad reality, at least until the Son of Man returns in His Glory.

War is such a terrible thing. I think you are right when you say probably never. Janet
