When Will I Find Love?
I've been searching for years,
Shed so many tears,
Looking for someone to love,
My prayers looked over from above.
Am I doomed to be alone?
To walk this world on my own?
Or die lonely, forgotten and sad?
Sometimes I wish that I had.
Because I have tried and tried,
So many nights I've cried,
But nobody wants to return the love I give,
And I can no longer stand to live.
I can't take the sleepless nights,
Staring up at the dim star lights,
Wondering what I did that was so bad,
To cause me to be this sad.
Unloved by everyone around me,
Why can't anybody see?
I want the love I give returned,
Even if I have to get burned.
Because it is true the things they say,
Sometimes love doesn't pay,
But it's better to lose love than to never have loved at all,
And I am willing to take the fall.
