When We Were Young

When we were young
And all we saw
Was colored by the sun
The days were long
The nights were warm
And we would sing our song

I say I love you
You say you do too
I see heaven
In your eyes of blue

Happy days and
Loving nights
We shared beneath our quilt
We never knew
We reached the heights
Never felt no guilt

Now life goes on
And every day
I wonder about you
Was I wrong
When you went away
And you still loved me true
