When We Must Say Goodbye

There will always be a moment in our lives,
When we must say goodbye
When the breath will cease
The light to go out in our eyes.

For who to see this moment through
When togetherness becomes empty
Where the love of two declines
The life of us removes to be.

Into the open space of time
One soul gives chase
Racing off the cosmic breeze
To seek another lonely place.

   Then into the darkness fall
From tears, shall we attempt to rise
To place a memory in our hearts
Beneath a star lit brilliant sky.

Three stars bright with two stars dim
Six stars placed within the night
One star smiles with a wink
Then gives up all existing light.

Now we sit in this moment of life
When dreams become the teardrop eye
We stand to face in sorrowed strength
When we must say goodbye.

You made a beautiful write out of a sad experience. If only one thing is sure when we are born, it is that we will die. Hugsss
