When They Fell

In school many went into a panic,
others sat in counselor offices
praying for their families and
others that worked at the Trade Centers.
Several picked on the Pakistanins,
spitting on them, calling them murders.
Many went home after the news
Hallways seemed quieter
Classes didnt do much
Conversations were no longer about
boys or girls or what to do for the weekend
but about what happened in
New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington
Students went home in silence today
the day when the World Trade Centers
FELL.

That sure was one surreal day. Certainly put life into prospective.

A dramatic reminder of how people react to terrible situations. Thank you for this thought-provoking work.
