When the Sky Bled Blue
As the clouds cleared...
And the skies bled blue
'Fore Friday night...
The sun shined through
With a few lost raindrops...
Come to say good-bye
I closed my eyes...
Tried to wonder why
'Fore Friday night...
When the blue sky bled
And a few lost raindrops...
Had hit my head
Then I realized...
Just what that all meant
I thank the lord...
It was heaven sent
My mother, my father...
And my brother Joe
And a few other angels...
That I did not know
They had wet my hair...
With blessened water
To cool my soul...
'Fore the night grew hotter
So to let me know...
On this Friday night
That the weekend's a comin'...
And it'll be alright
