When the Old Sun Hides
The sun was at its prime,
With it's warm rays touching the soul
Accompanied by a subtle sway of wind chime,
It turned the poet's heart gay,
Without a single letter to say.
The clouds decided to steal
What the heart wanted to feel,
As it hid the sun from view,
With a laugh that pleased few.
The poet wished the old sun to return,
Which seemed to have vanished
In its voyage, never to back turn.
Oh! Exclaimed the poet with sorrow
Is this the darkness that surrounds the tomorrow?
The darkness blessed the earth with shower,
That gave life itself its power.
Now colours of the spectrum
Ventured across the dark sky
Forming a sun new,
Though dimmer,
Nevertheless beautiful.
