When the Night Comes

At night you come and rapture my thoughts A memory floods in and fear takes my rest You come and steal my peace like it should have never been mine in the first place. Almost asleep, here you come. Fear overtakes me. I am free I am safe Keep reminding me please. Is this all a dream? Am I really here in this place? Is it really safe? When can I let go? When can I peak out the covers...my safety? Why do you keep coming back? Wake up again in a panic, heart racing and scared. What will it be like, I think....... What will it be like.
