When the Light Goes Out

Alone I cry tears
For the loss
Alone rivers flood my eyes
For I mourn
for what was once here
I lost him to the life of chaos
He chose the game over me
He gave me up and threw away the key
I watched him throw life away
I watched him drive the nails among the deep set veins
I watched the blood fall so heavily and soak so deep
The pain was overwhelming
I no longer see beauty in life
It was taken away the night he left
I gave up
There is no use
Beauty was destroyed
The light of life has faded away.
