When the Light Goes
When the light goes,
The day becomes an enemy,
When night falls,
To me, the trouble crawls.
Darkness has eyes,
They see me in my cocooned silhouette,
Nothing seems to shield me,
Only haunting shadow I see.
You are the shadow,
You are the shrivelled meadow,
The memory that clouds my night,
The helping hand that I've lost.
I try to clear my mind,
I still hear the sound of pounding rain,
I'm saddled with a hideous pain,
I still see you in my mind's mirror.
