When the Gate Swings Open

When the gate swings open
We'll be standing just outside
Waiting on the Master
To call us to come inside

His word we have hidden
Deep within our heart
knowing it has kept us
Through this life from the start

Standing on the road
For us that's paved with gold
That we've heard of many times
And of it we've been told

Listening carefully for our names
And to every word that's spoken
This is how we'll be
When the gate swings open.
