When the Devil Paid His Due

Once ago in a time, there came the breaking of the chime. heaven was torn and a new villain was born, out of darkness and time. the clouds began to cry when their hero fell down to die. god was heard giving a tired sigh, even he did not know this battle was nigh. but this was the day when all dues had to be paid, so down the devil went and there he staid. his hopes and dreams turned to schemes and heaven shut its door. the devil wept as his dreams were kept sealed under the earth's granite floor. heaven was his never more and this he vehemently swore. "Next time when the fates chime and all debts must be due, i will reach up out of this place and look for payment from you."
