Notes About The Poem

How do you cope on bad days when life is so difficult? This poem is in memory of Lionel Blue, who had many good suggestions about dealing with times when everything is a struggle.

'Don't take life too heavy, dear.'

When the Days Are Too Much

(Remembering Rabbi Lionel Blue)

When The Days Are Too Much

Go with the flow all through the year,
Imagine the bright days of Spring,
Just don't take life too heavy, dear.

You can start with a simple thing,
These days aren't for doing too much,
Imagine the bright days of Spring.

Tidy a drawer or something such,
Complete the task and you can cheer,
These days aren't for doing too much.

Acknowledge your plight, then it's clear,
Pamper yourself, buy a cream cake,
Complete a task and you can cheer.

Some days, life is quite hard to take,
Be kind to yourself in the main,
Pamper yourself, buy a cream cake.

Let's run through the rules once again:
Go with the flow all through the year,
Be kind to yourself in the main,
Just don't take life too heavy, dear.

I like your suggestion Elisabeth; pamper yourself, have some comfort food and even better we can pray!~Che :)
