When the Alarms Rung
I was day dreaming for a while
Thinking about my ex
Hoping that we could reconnect
I never quite knew this day would be so significant
Cause I never thought I'd let go
Of a past that ended so long ago
I just didn't see any other way
without him and me
But that day when the alarms rung
I must admit that boy I became sprung
Off a new kind of juice
and it wasn't my ex
that little voice inside has finally went away
The moment I realized I wanted you
Instead
All it took was some
Heaving gonging
to bang me out of a daydream
that I should have never been in
since he hurt me
In that moment
in that day
I realized I didn't have to stay
stuck like glue on one person
You opened my eyes
and it may mean nothing
But that day was important
That's the day when the alarms rung
