When Silent Tears Fall

When silent tears of her aching heart fall
Cry of the lonely night is seldom heard
Muffling her sound against a callous wall

Facing choice stark in dread of fate’s call
Alone she bemoans of dreams deferred
When silent tears of her aching heart fall

Enduring deep pain her emotions squall
Concealing the blows of bashing incurred
Muffling her sound against a callous wall

Sensing signs of impending harm, fears befall
As bawl of her laments remains unheard
When silent tears of her aching heart fall

Her stone-cold beats in servitude thrall
From passions parched and love interred
Muffling her sound against a callous wall

Shattered tones of her heartbeats appall
Repelled by futility of the vows conferred
When silent tears of her aching heart fall
Muffling her sound against a callous wall

A sad beautiful poetic gem Vijay - you always write beautifully but the repetitiveness of certain lines makes the poem all the more emotive - kudos my friend, a wonderful poem. Blessings, Jennifer.

These lonely souls who live in pain and fear, I can hear and feel their story when an adept poet meticulously and beautifully gives a sound to her "silent tears" and "heartbeats"! You put a lot of life and feel into your artistic work, dear Vijay! You have composed a wonderful sad music, Villanelle! So much enjoyed! The best of luck! A win and a FAV! My deepest regards and blessings

Oh, this is so sad. It sounds as though she is in a now-loveless--perhaps abusive-- marriage (mention of vows). Vividly descriptive poem--her misery crying out from each line. Janice

Excellent! A winner perhaps! Love it, Vijay! You capture the soul of a wife in her bitter moment. How she does not want her husband to hear her somber cries, yearns that the callous wall would fall but fears it never will.

Like tears that follow one after another alike and not alike at all... every stanza held both the hope and sadness of the one before and reflected the one to follow. Excellent work. Simply .... "art". Ann

Sometimes we hide our tears, so no one sees our pain. When the heart aches until it nearly breaks, droplets will caress the face. They will gently fall. Your thoughts wraps softly around me. ~ Brandy
