After reading opinions of many PS poets, I'm sick of hearing phrases like, "it's causing big problems," "making me heartbroken," "it sickens me," and many other negative thoughts that are detrimental to the site. I've given up trying to comprehend why some use it and claim it as their own. It's the same with plagiarizing, so I'll save myself the angst of using similar phrases because this is how I see it... They come in all sizes, shapes, and each gender posting poetic words that to them do not belong and then deny it. To the truth they'll not surrender AI users and plagiarizers will never admit the wrong I've grown weary reading about it and I'm disconnecting from caring if they keep getting away with it on the soup I've stopped using detectors for those I've been suspecting... ones who continue to debase themselves; it's low to stoop Sadly, I've seen "Gotcha" written too often in the last year Proof's been sent to those who should uphold their claim Written words in PS established rules are not upheld here leaving AI users and plagiarists getting away with their game What drives you to steal poetry of others and call AI your own? Is it because there's no harsh penalty from the administration? People, you who call yourselves 'poet,' I cannot condone those who cheat again and again and face no degradation My eyes will be blind to those users and their schemes I'll write what I choose as long as I'm pleased with my lines Attention to mentioned issues has gone far beyond extremes It's a legitimate gripe but I'm done with complaints and whines

Lin, with so little supervision by the site administration, it only goes to show the owner at the top is most interested in maximizing money and spending as little as possible. Just look at the ridiculous structure of the site itself. It's AWFUL!! We know people posting AI poetry are looking for something missing in their lives. If it's the recognition from this site for their fake work, then they might do better visiting a psychiatrist. The low self-esteem problem they have makes them seem particularly in need of serious help. They would certainly benefit much more using an AI therapist rather than posting fake garbage here. Smiles!!!

Duke, your humor is taking a stand in your comments today. It's been suggested, and not by me that some might be in need of psychiatric assistance. Wouldn't it be interesting to learn how an AI therapist would diagnose the human using AI to write poetry? I think it would be grounds for a lawsuit over plagiarism!!

There are many poems on the subjects of plagiarism and AI - its such a shame admin don't impose their rules and ban the perpetrators especially with plagiarism which has been rife recently , no wonder poets are fed up with the situation Lin, you are not alone in showing your feelings :-( hugs jan xx

There is no point in a site of any kind stating rules by the administrators if they're not upheld. Kinda makes it a no man's land when it comes to anything goes... and because of that lack of monitoring, PS seems to let the wrong things go instead of righting the wrongs. Thanks for noting I'm not the Lone Ranger with regard to both of the issures.

Lin, such a powerful poem. It's a shame that PS is not like it used to be. The rules are not enforced and those who use AI and plagiarism continue to do so. They are pathetic. However, the real poets are not fooled. We know what we write is true and it's our own creations. I wonder if contests were eliminated would they soon disappear?

I think some would disappear, Tania. Probably those who feel the need to claim false glory. Undoubtedly, some will continue to think they've not been caught and keep posting 10 a day or claiming on the poem that it's not plagiarized. I'm not of the belief... "If you can't beat em, join em."
