Time of the year when poppies bloom
Turning the flowering meadow scarlet
Reminds of a famous poem of gloom,
Time of the year when poppies bloom
In Flanders Field there’s no more room
Where loved ones felt a bitter comfort,
Time of the year when poppies bloom
Turning the flowering meadow scarlet.
