When Need Becomes Greed

There are many different needs for each chapter of our lives. From youth to when we are joined as husbands and wives. These needs will change with each advancement and loss. Whatever they become they will always come with a cost. Some will remain humble always appreciating what they have. They are filled with greed, for which there is no healing salve. For the unsatisfied, wealth and power will always be sought. They falsely think happiness is a privilege that can be bought Covetousness, pride, and vanity can quite easily take hold. Traits of selfishness and greed cannot easily be controlled until their family and friends are forgotten; lost in the mix. Once that line is crossed, it becomes an affliction that sticks. Self-reflection and wisdom some of them will find with age. Be careful of what you wish for with the turning of each page. Lessons will be taught with the planting of each fertile seed. You’ll reap what you sow when your need turns into greed.

"Covetousness, pride, and vanity can quite easily take hold." One has to be on guard constantly for these.

You have a kind heart, Mark. Thanks for nod, and you're hired for the job of PR. I throw things out and you absorb them like a sponge.

God blesses some with riches. Rich to me doesn't mean money. I know of no person who is dying to live in a tent on the street. When we desire or envy another's money or achievements, oy, we are in trouble. I don't think about what people have. I am grateful to be alive..period. I liked this verse a lot Panagiota xoxo

Money has never meant much to me. Family and friends are what’s important

Reminds me of that biblical saying, it's easier to pass through the eye of an needle than fora rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Powerful message in your verse Mark. Tom

Exactly Tom. An interesting tid bit, the eye of the needle is a treacherous mountain pass. Most people don’t know that
