When My Life Is Over
When my life is over
do not cry for me.
just let me go to heaven
let my soul be free.
I had the time of my life
while I was here with you,
but I must go God's calling me
I must go on through.
When my life is over
and they lay me in the ground,
I want to be surrounded
by friends and family all around.
I have led a full life
without a single regret,
I did my best to love you all
of which I'll never forget.
I hope that when I leave this world
I'm standing in that line,
for when my life is over
I'm gonna have a shoutin time.
