When My Life Falters

and my light flickers.
When a bed binds my bones
to last words
let those words not disgrace me
in that dying time,
let silence
overcome, and words at last leave
to find another poet,
one who still has doubt
and anger enough
to explore and reveal.
<>
In that afterward
I will find more silence to write,
there will be invisible walls
to breakthrough still.
Perhaps words will return
In a language
as transparent as windows.
I look forward
to looking through them,
look forward
to opening those windows.
