When Love Is Lost

When Love is Lost
On the dark side of the moon, my wounded heart limps into the grip of a starless abyss
From the void of love lost, prayers fall empty upon deaf sky clouded by the grey of despair
Like the song of the wind strangled by black linen ribbons, I mourn I hurt I sob I sob
My heart shredding ripping bleeding raw with red pain until… until… you are nothing to me

Wow! My dear Pandita, your poem is conveyed with such poetic power and poignancy that I ache to my very core. Beautifully sad metaphors and imagery brings you poem home to my heart where it resonates in residence there. Every line of every stanza weeps the sadness of lost love. I love it! A well deserved belated congrats for this expressive beauty. Warmest wishes and hugs my lovely friend.. ~Susan

Pandita, such an intense write. I could never imagine being hurt so badly that I would want to feel nothing for someone that I have loved (if you go by my writing that seems to be a ridiculous statement for me to make, lol). If things didn't work with those very few people I've loved in my life it hurt but it didn't stop my feelings.

You have expressed the lonely hurt in love lost .. For far too often a deep love lost feels like a beloved life lost. Truly exceptional poetry my friend. Good luck in that contest..

WoW! Pandita, you really did justice to the form. You made the reader"feel" that love that is no longer there. And the imagery that you wove within in this write is top notche. I wish you the best of luck in the contest. A without seven:-) Alexis
