When It Rains
They all run with their heads down,
staring at the ground,
in a hurry, in a scurry,
as if they looked up they would drown,
I know they're just trying to keep dry,
but for me it's the perfect alibi,
cause they can't see me cry,
When it rains,
tears all look the same,
I can hide all of my pain,
disguise all of my shame,
no, there's nothing to explain,
when it rains, ,
tears don't mean a thing,
I can hide all my disdain,
I don't feel so ashamed,
no, you'll never hear me complain,
when it rains
In their haste they don't have time,
to pay me any mind,
they don't care, they're unaware,
but I don't take it as unkind,
I know they're just trying to keep dry,
but for me it's the perfect alibi,
cause they can't see me cry,
When it rains,
tears all look the same,
I can hide all of my pain,
disguise all of my shame,
no, there's nothing to explain,
when it rains,
tears don't mean a thing,
I can hide all my disdain,
I don't feel so ashamed,
no, you'll never hear me complain,
when it rains
