When it is Time to Reflect When the sparkling shine of spring spreads on earth It is time for flowers to take new birth, For birds to hop gaily from branch to branch, For green grasses to take on a new chance, The ground to be gilt with a new carpet And men on nature`s beauty to reflect. When the summer sun sparks its shine on hills, Casts its golden hues on neighbouring fields, Slowly glides up along an azure sky, Beckoning new hopes that ahead do lie, It is time to reflect on coming days And how in life to pursue on one`s way. When whispers of wet autumn winds blow high, Strip leaves from trees and whirl them in the sky When grey hairs and deep wrinkles on the face Steadily pursue our trail and our trace, It is time to tone down one`s daily strife Set aside a while and reflect on life. When at long last comes the day for the poll, It`s time and duty to the booth to stroll, To reflect on the essence of one`s vote, Ponder for one`s travel which ship to board, Whether it will lead us to the right port Or dip us in the ocean to rot. It`s the fitting time deeply to reflect On sovereign goals set at the outset, On targets that`ve already been achieved, Whether proposals that are being weaved Lie in the realm of sure reality Or embrace the laughing grounds of fancy. It`s fitting time to reflect on which team Is truly aboveboard and meets one dream, Arouses one`s confidence and esteem, Along tempestuous gales and storms can stream And lead the country to its destiny Of peace, justice, progress and harmony.
