When It Is Gone

While we have breath,
we boast and argue
of things we know 
and those we know not 

While we have breath,
we give reasons aplenty,
the messiah, not to accept
and the gospel, not to believe

When it is gone,
will we be able, 
him to face,
with argument and alibi?
