When It Hurts To Laugh

In the middle of "hell" and all its ogres,
It is difficult to find a ray of hope,
or salvation to lighten the spirit,
A smile or simple laughter fights its
way to get to the surface,
While the heart festers with pain
and angst, a mere facade to the outside
world, affirming the mirage, that all is well.

Dear, Margeret! I battle with the laughter inside me all the time.. but, mine is different..it's hard to let it out...i think i'm tired of hurt... and just want to laugh at all the new pain... by the way if you don't mind me saying... your title.. brought that one image to mind... you know the one called... smile now laugh later... or the theater of pain..mask... enjoyed,..p.d.
