When I Write

When I write I go on and on
Everything from love letters to a “Dear John”
Up above and far below
The words begin to flow
Words bleed through the lips
And wrap around one's arms, legs and hips
Slowly getting better and slowly realizing its purpose
All over the place just like a circus
Words that are tattooed on my heart
Are put on paper as my art
Poetry has become the healthiest vice to find
To the jumbled mess that’s in my mind

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Those last two lines are classic! "Poetry has become the healthiest vice to find To the jumbled mess that’s in my mind" Wow! Nice one.
