When I Was Nine

As the sun shines down, another day so fine, I still hold on to those memories, the only thing that's still mine... I remember our trips to the beach, the squeals of laughter, the tears of joy... I still have some of the things we bought, down to the last broken toy. I don't know what it is I did, or even if it was meant to be, but all I do remember from the dark times, is that, since thean, you never did talk to me. i wish you still bought me icecream, and asked me if I was fine, I wish you still loved me, like you did when I was nine. I wish you were proud of me, like you were when I was nine...

I am very touched by this poem, Angie. I wish things were different for you. Family problems are not always easy to overcome; hope you are strong and can move on in life. Take care. // paul

oh what a beautifully written poem made me feel quite emotional. I used to look after an old lady who used to say 'three things never come back, the spoken word, the sped arrow and the neglected opportunity. Maybe its time to get together and make up for lost time - hugs Jan x

Thankyou for the kind words Jan, but some relationships are beyond repair...
