When I Send You a Letter

When I send you a letter You don't always reply; Would it maybe be better To just bid you goodbye? It is very frustrating With each time that I write That I have to be waiting Through too many a night. Now, we don't own each other As you'll no doubt agree But there isn't another Who can bring me such glee. But I want you to know That in rain or in snow We are long-distance friends And that this never ends. So please pardon my sorrow At my being on 'hold' For "There's always tomorrow," As I've often been told. So in spite of my trauma I'm still not placing blame I shall spare you the drama And just maintain the flame.
