When I Saw You

when i saw you
i caught my breath
had to gather what was left
when i saw you
all the memories started flooding back
the laughs the fun walks on the train tracks
when i saw you
i asked my self if it was worth it
falling down for you hit after hit
when i saw you
my vison became blurred with my tears
for i have not seen that smile for years
when i saw you
i wanted to scream
how could you do this to me
when i saw you
i wanted to fall to the ground and never get up
because the wound on this heart had a bigger cut
when i saw you
my life was in the right place, finally
your unwanted goodbye did not settle mildly
when i saw you
all i could say was nothing
all i know was that something
some one was holding me back
like they had the whole time you left my world pitch black
what can i say
thats always your way

It is hard to erase the memory of a young love and the pain of its loss, but perhaps now having come to term, that it wasn't meant to be. A very nice write. Thank you for sharing. Caroline.
