When I Looked Out

i looked through the eyes of god and found that i was blind. no men could i see through these godly eyes, only black stigmas and praying lies. where were the sheep of the fold, had the wolves preyed on my flock so bold? i looked through the eyes of fallen lucifer king, and through his lies i found that some truth could still ring. though his vision was burned by hate, i could see why god had resigned us to our fate. we are petty men with little lives, we flay our gods with vicious knives. put them on display in hallowed halls and close them in behind sacred walls. i looked in and saw empty remorse. i looked out and found something much worse. the end of man will come in silently. the day will die slow and quietly. i looked through the future and came back with this. "To watch and do nothing is damning bliss."
