When I Grow Old I Want To Grow Young

When I grow up I want to be a child
Sentenced to a life forever incomplete
Set forth towards goals that I will never meet
Live a life that's mellow and mild
I want to relive the bliss of being a child

When I ascend from my capsule upon greener grass
I want to recognize things from this life once passed
I'll see my mistakes, and I'll make them again
I didn't make the journey for this life, to mend
But as I crawl out to the heat of this younger sun
My maiden voyage as a temponaut has begun

And I'll relive these years just as happy
I'll keep an eye out for the things I should have cherished
God, I hope my time travelling days never perish
And when I grow old I want to grow young
My maiden voyage as a temponaut has begun
