When I Fly My Thoughts Around the World
WHEN I FLY MY THOUGHTS AROUND THE WORLD
Like other poets,
I just spend these endless hours, days,
in powerless daydreams
next to the darkened windows of the world.
When I fly my thoughts around the
world,
I am like the thirsty ground
satisfied by a tear
of the beloved
woman,
A tear inside a tear, to feel it
on my hot, crackling
skin,
in m opened pores,
deep inside – all the way
to my boiling blood.
When I fly my thoughts around the
world,
I am like sultry darkness inside a moist eye,
a lost beat in loud
laughter and music.
When I fly my thoughts around the
world,
I feel that woman
and I know what she wants from me,
hand in hand, lip on lip,
and the breath of my love
