When I Feel Old

Alas, my clock just never lies
Nor can it stop the time that flies
Through moments, hours, then into days.
Then months and years pass in a haze.

Now when I’m feeling tired and old,
When my blood is running cold,
I reach for precious memory
And suddenly you’re here with me.

We talk about so many things
And suddenly my heart has wings
That let me fly. I’m feeling young
With many songs still to be sung

And many dreams for me to reach.
Now life has lessons still to teach.
The morning’s just a night away
And I still have a role to play.

I find it hard to believe nobody has reviewed this piece before me. It's quite good with descriptiveness and rhyming.
