When I Die

When I die- Let the earth split in two, Let the animals scream as one, Let the birds cease their songs, So that my passing may be marked. When I die- Let the sky rend itself, Let the thunder shout in grief, Let the clouds shed their tears, So that my passing may be mourned. When I die- Let a wail go up among the people, Let the music of life falter, Let pain stab the hearts of all, So that my passing may be felt. When I die- Let my work live on, Let my legacy be lived, Let my heirlooms be passed down, So that my life may be worth something.
