When I Close My Eyes
If I tell you
What I see
When I close my eyes
Will you make it real for me?
For only when I close my eyes
Do I then own peace
Shrouded dreams excite to life
And achings finally cease
A heart’s chaotic anguish
A body’s inflamed desires
Relentless tortuous passions
Temperance long expired
If only for a moment
I cannot seem to breathe
Almost fevered by the warmth
That hastens over me
Commanded by the hunger
Stripped of all control
Tempted lips finally meet
In time with naked souls
Quaking with savage arousal
Violated yet set free
Pounded by a sudden rage
Of untamed waves of ecstasy
But then my eyes are open
And yearning soon returns
Quiet prisoner to inhibition
Blistered by what does not burn
So if I tell you
What I see
When I close my eyes
Will you make it real for me?
