When I Breath My Last Breath

Lord when I breathe my last breath
I wanted to see you waiting
Waiting for me on heaven’s door
With your arms open wide

I have forsaken and forgotten you Lord
And I had fallen most of my lifetime
Yet thy gentle hands had carry me
To the safe refuge of your presence

O Lord your mercy
Overwhelms me
Your blessings
Had me never wanting
And your love
Had saved my soul
To be my Lord
I am humbled and rejoicing
That man in sinful nature you have loved and saved.

Lord when I had breathed my last breath
People will cry and be lonely
Yet me I am rejoicing
For I will meet you in heaven and spend eternity with you

I don’t want to wait for my last breath
To share your goodness to people
We are lost and transgressed
But I will walk with you and lead people to you

O Lord of this world
Give me thy ways
Help me with your guidance
And let me be a channel of your blessings – 3-26-07
