When I Am Alone

When I am alone,
Every little noise that I hear freaks me out.
When I am alone,
The silence is what I can’t bear,
That’s when I think of being in a crowd.
When I am alone,
I think.
When I am alone,
I look around.
When I am alone,
I blink.
When I am alone,
I shout aloud.
When I am alone,
I listen……
I listen to the minutest of the sounds audible in this silence.
When I am alone,
 I talk to myself.
When I am alone,
 I am lonely.
When I am alone,
That loneliness heals me.
When I am alone,
Time is hard to pass….
