When Frozen Feelings Fail To Touch
The childhood long left behind, waned
on course of climbing career trajectory.
In hectic life pursuing promises prime
he had always felt the shortage of time,
so short all the time he was on the run,
climbing two steps of stairs at a time.
Once when his legs betrayed giving in
his head hit the side wall, all was dark.
In injured brain of hurt neuroanatomy
cortal neuron network went haywire.
Dismembered memory disappeared,
he had lost the sense of flow of time
that stopped still in present undefined.
Fractured reasoning intuit collapsed,
nothing connected with anything
in isolated snapshots of disjointed life.
He didn’t know what sadness was
for his maimed mind couldn’t feel
the subtle touch of frozen feelings.
He returned to the childhood world,
stayed there with himself till the end.
