When Fate Decides

When fate decides to bring you love
You share it with me, feeling from above

I desire always your heart to be true
Time dictates just how great we grew

I seek your longing to be with my heart
For our life-long commitment never to part

I love you, fate has brought us together
And I accept this union, separation never

Always and true, we’ll stay together long
That’s how far our hearts sing this song

I'm still thinking how to write a poem about marriage without the mention of God. You have inspired me to give it a try...thanks for your always uplifting comments. I, too, love autumn. Though in Florida, I don't get the beautiful colors. I make up for it by decorating inside. I visit the pumpkin patch and buy flowers in seasonal colors. It all helps! Hugs, Rhonda
