Notes About The Poem

Image result for pictures of fall leaves even with frost on them

36 What a foolish question! When you put a seed into the ground, it doesn’t grow into a plant unless it dies first.

When Fall Comes

When fall comes the perennials change, then die Usually, a frost comes then the tops turn brown All seems lost for soon even the ground seems gone Frozen, hard, some even three feet apply When a farmer drops a seed in the soil, And earth warms after nice spring rain comes down That seed will be drawn to come forth one dawn For it's design by God, devil won't foil It pushes on

I'm already feeling some heat, but not too much. I dread July and August, but the seasons have a purpose.

Yes, Victor, the seasons have their purpose. I always dread summer here because of the heat and humidity. Now, because I am older my body doesn't have the ability to adjust to those temperatures, but praise God we have AC. When my children were growing up and I worked so hard in the garden to provide food for us, we did not have AC. Thank you for the visit. Sara K.

I had never seen this scripture quote before. It's so interesting. I like how your poem was inspired by it

Andrea, sometimes we read right over an important scripture, or we hear it read and maybe even a preacher brings a sermon using it, but for some reason we don't get it. When we read scripture at home, we need to prayer at first asking God to open our eyes so we can see what it actually means or give a message or meaning from it to help us for that day and God will answer that prayer. Paula, it gets hot here but not that hot, thank goodness for that. Right now, we are still at a livable comfort but soon it could get hotter and very humid which is very uncomfortable to me. Some people like it though. I appreciate your reading my work and taking time to comment. Sara K.

Oh!! Wow!! Anne-Lise, that is a nice temperature, of course, we need some rain to help keep the earth well-watered. We went without rain then we got some rain then it went back to the dry side again, but we got some rain this afternoon, but it has warmed up with the humidity creeping back up which makes it really uncomfortable here in June, July, August and September. I know God knows best so I will leave it up to Him although I do pray sometimes for rain or a warmup or a decrease in the humidity or a break from summer's heat. Thank you for the visit and nice review. Sara K.
