When Dreams Collide
He had dreamed himself
to be in love with her
and vice versa
He taught himself
not to dislike anything
that she liked
unaware that he was
reflecting
deflecting
projecting
rejecting
much
horse sense
Choreographing ideals
they trance-danced
blindfolded
Lovers cling
to each other's dreams
they may make-out,
make up
make believe
It all
can be
perfectly perfect,
just as long
as that
mutual mirage
remains
