When Defrosted
I don't know who I am,
Why I'm here,
But that's okay;
I just am.
Through the winter,
The winds chased me,
And bit at my heels.
Now, a calm breeze
Comforts me.
My identity echoes
Back from my
Beating heart
On the warm deck.
I'm taking deeper breaths
These days;
I'm fearing not
The stranger's gaze.
I simply close my eyes
And hear
My spirit's twinkle,
Crystal clear.
There is no loneliness
Here, now.
There's only sun,
To show me how
The simple thoughts
Inside my head
Caress
The persevering dread.
I long to taste
The sweet mistake,
That tricks the tired
Eyes awake.
I wish not worry,
For my sake,
But for green earth
My soul to take.
