When Boom Means Boom

When boom means BOOM

When your world changes

When everything stops in that second

When memories flash flood your thoughts

When your mind distorts your senses

When you know every pain you feel is REAL

Somewhere in your head a door closes

Somewhere in your head the old you dies

Somewhere in your heart your soul remembers

Somewhere in your heart your soul cries

Part of you is dead forever, part of you that once made you whole

Now your eyes reflect a sorrow that only you will remember, a pain that only you will ever know.

This loss of innocence, this game of fate has made something once so warm and tender now so very hard, ruthless and cold.
