When All Is Quiet and Still

when all is quiet and still i am at my calmest i wish that i could enjoy the pleasure of your conversation oh how i despise the end of certain eras i still have the old bookmarks with all the happy faces when all is quiet and still i am at my calmest i wish that i could enjoy the cheerfulness of your voice oh how i wish i could be way more convincing i still have the old practice tapes seat belt ignorant dummies like myself when all is quiet and still i am at my calmest i wish that i could enjoy the rare pleasantness of your sincere personality oh how i wish the timing was more biased and strategic i still have all of the old cassette tapes with a particular irma thomas song that i always come running back to in modern times
