When a Road Seems Too Long

When the road seems a bit too long
Bringing sorrow around each bend
You can count on Jesus, being close by
It’s His love of you, you can depend.

We must go through trials to grow
Don’t let darkness take you into despair
For your Savior is not far behind
You’ll never have too heavy of a cross to bear.
*
We must learn to look to the new light
With hope, love and a deep new heart.
The road ahead will get much smoother
When our hearts can be open for a new start.
*
We don’t have any reason to be downhearted
Our troubles will last but a little while
Jesus is the guiding light of our pathways
He’ll walk beside us the whole long mile.
