'When a City Bleeds'

It happens everyday It just made the headlines too many times When will this end? When will our lives start to matter When will it be okay to walk around in your own neighborhood without being afraid There is nothing blissfull about this topic Nothing to celebrate When mothers, sisters, aunts and nieces are being killed like it's a hobby The city is bleeding Women are crying Everyday women are dying Not even time behind bars deter these vultures It angers me Somewhere down the line these lives needs to matter Cause so many heartaches stem from these senseless acts

That is good that they are taking action.

It is right to be angry. I am fortunate to live in Canada. Still sadly we too are not immune to violence. Blessings to you and all women. It is time for men to wake up.

Femicide seems to become a norm Richard. I think highlighting it might just make people stand up and do something. As was the case when one too many women were killed a few weeks back.. Businesses actually started their own initiatives to make females feel more secure.. Thank you for popping in even though I have become a stranger at the soup...

Hey Lady! ..."these lives needs to matter," speak in volume. I've only had women around me, cared for, and some I've escorted to their demise with love and care. "being killed like a hobby..." Is the line that hushed my mouth and angered my soul. Those vultures do not have eyes of equality, only for preying! Hard and Amazing work! Blessings...
