When

tired boots
give up
walking

When water is too far
for walking

“What dreams may come”
extends beyond
inner monologue
or company

I want to sleep tonight

Dreams are the pillows
of a clean conscience

I wasn’t invited inside

I once
meant something too

At least I hope I echo
on this loud
and crowded Earth
where echos
take turns
for attention
